Non-Conviction-Based Confiscation in Europe

Stef Cassella has contributed a chapter entitled, “Civil Asset Recovery: The American Experience” to a book edited by Jon Petter Rui and Ulrich Sieber of the Max Planck Institute and published in Berlin, Germany.  The book, entitled Non-Conviction-Based Confiscation in Europe, is intended for European readers and addresses the pros and cons of enacting non-conviction-based forfeiture (a/k/a “civil forfeiture”) legislation in Europe.  This is a link to the publisher’s website.  This is a link to Cassella’s chapter.
